ummm. I like finding stuff that I'm looking for. I don't like not finding stuff that I am not looking for.
If I want something, I will search from google and baidu. But not happy because each searching will show you thousands of non-related listings.
Search for news about a topic and you'll find stuff 3 or 4 years old. But no new stuff. Why keep searching and displaying the counts when there is no way I'll look beyond the first 100. ie 10,013,835 results found in .233 sec ???
Why not use a META search engine like Searchworm.com or Dogpile? Prime results that you rarely have to go past the first two pages to find what you are looking for.
Google's index is vast. I have been searching it for information since 5 years, They've done an excellent job in gathering relevent sites. But I don't think it would be right to ignore smaller business sites with lesser content from near-to-relevent searches.
