What do you hope to get out of AdSense?

I've been reading plenty of posts on here recently and I've seen a lot of posts along the lines of

'I want to make $1 per day - I have 2 hours per day to put into it'

I have dabbled a bit with AdSense myself but I find that the amount of time put into it isn't rewarded in income. I am sure there are a lot of people putting large amounts of work into their sites for a small amount of money.

So my question is, what do you hope to get out of AdSense?
Do you hope that over time your $1 a day website will grow to something quite large or is it just a hobby?

I guess I'm trying to determine if it's worth my while spending too much time on AdSense. To be honest, if I have 2 hours per day - I can earn far more in other ways but perhaps I am missing something?

 

I'm not trying to make a living out of it - to do so is foolhardy because this revenue stream can be snatched away from you at any time. Earning anything makes it preferable to leaving empty spaces on your web pages, but I suppose if I could do $10 per day, every day, I'd be really happy with that.

 

It is just a hobby for me - which is just as well, because if I put the time I worked on my site into a normal job, I could have earned 100 times as much. Adsense isn't even the reason I run my site, I just stick it on there for fun.

Have to say I find it interesting that so many people put in so much hard work for what looks like a small amount of money but I guess it's something of a hobbyist topic to some people (or an add-on to a hobbyist website)..

 

I would like to make $10-$20 through Google Adsense.

I was almost there once, but sold that website

 

my goal is $6/day, which pays for the server.

 

I just started my website dedicated to HDR Photography (hdrphotos.net) last month and started using adsense for about 2 weeks. and currently my earnings are not doing very well ($18) for the month of april


Would you guys say that having a goal of $50 a month is a good goal, specially for a startup website?

 

I'm hoping in the future I can get $100 a month from adsense

 

are you using any affiliate programs? A site like that could surely sell camera lenses and accessories.

Peronally I've had it with adsense, I'm looking elsewhere for something better. I think my site might do better with a publisher program that does not rely on content targeting.

 

Well I hope to earn one day $300 per day while for now I'm earning ~ arround $100 per day

 

not yet.. but already considering it. I wanna target those software developers(HDR) first then move on to bigger targets..

Do you think this site has potential to earn good $$?

I wha nt to make money from adsense like 30-40% from monthly income ....
My target is 5k/month from all my activitys

 

I hope to get around 30 - 40 dollars a day from adsense, that's some good money for me to keep .
