    Hey

I'm just wondering what do you guys use for submitting you website to directories. Currently I use a drag and drop method (which works quite well) with all the information on my desktop. You can see the image in what I mean.

(Sorry but you have to copy and paste, since im not allowed to use live links yet :( )

Do you guys use any software or do you just write anything down.

    Just wondering.

I just do it myself and I use the auto form fill in on Firefox for name and URL and email and I copy and paste the description. It works quite quickly and I know what I am entering and make sure I have the right category. It is always best to do it manually not with auto software.

I use InFormEnter, it helps speed things up a bit, i can add a profile for each of my directories, drop in the relevant text and then its just one click for each field, very cool, very handy.

You guys should consider hand typing your description. I know it is a small inconvenience for you but it will assure your site of not getting a penalty from Google. All that duplicate content is noticed and the links do not look natural.

1 natural link is worth dozens of duplicate content ones

Doing automated submissions is a very short term plan and do your site very little good. Learn to build real backlinks!!!

I use many different Titles in my submissions and regularly write new descriptions and keep switching things around a bit to make things look a bit more natural.

agreed to a certain extent. Ideally of course is to have different descriptions for every submission. But this wld be impossible if you are managing a few sites and doing >100 submissions per day. Also, don't really see that big an impact on my backlinks by using the same descriptions.....

very interesting tool, will be checking it out, tks.

i'm surprised no one mentioned roboform yet....

Sorry, not everyone is as smart as you and runs a quality authority directory.
There is no such thing as automated, which would mean you let a program submit for you, that is why we have categories, caphca, the submit button etc....

    Hello...

I bel;ive that using InFormEnter in Firefox is the best bet, as you can readily add info to any site within minutes...

As some directories still only want 150 characters or less and were on some request you have long well thought out descriptions as well as your deep link information as the web directory is expanding and more information you can provide will mean better PR for you as well as the pages being found on them will have content regarding Your site.

    thx
