What do you guys think of this for a Directory Idea?

Hi all,

im not doing this for profit, just hopefully giving everyones forums and directorys a bit of a break,.

I just turned one of my directory's into a spam and free link directory, to hopefully give the spammers a place to go..

ive had 2 forums killed because of them, and realise first hand the challenges to keep them off your site,

I had to ban every ip group on one, becasue it was about local content anyway, and lost half my members, because they got sick of it i guess,

the other one, my moderater is a police woman, and for some reason they all stopped, still dont know what she did?

i just cant see anyone else giving them a place to go and hopefully it will take a bit of pressure off forums like this and directorys that have auto submit,

what do you guys think of the idea?

You don't stop bad behavior by appeasing it. Be it a heroin park, to a spam forum, to politics. You will just entice and embolden.

 

Thanks, Thats a very good point, and i never even thought about it.
i have 9 other sites, and one is about to get tossed in the bin because of all the crap on it, its not edited, just submit and your on, or else i just go back to all content and blurb information, no interactivity, But, no spam problems

Hi again, I changed it all back to a normal directory with a extra link exchange

so if Anyone would like to submit there link, please do,
its fast,, its free,, and you get twice the links back to you,

It also gets good traffic, is 12th on directorycontest, and i have over 50,000 inbound links, so you can expect a strong page rank from me anyday,
Just waiting for santa google,,
