I sorta think of it as crap. So many scamers on Ebay. I also, think it may be going down hill. I always wanted to sell items on ebay but now im not sure if it will last in the future.
I hate e-bay and paypal but I use them both. I buy entrecard credits from e-bay to promote blogengage to bloggers!
Buyers have to learn on how to spot a scammer and to be honest, if your looking for a new big plazma TV on eBay then your heading towards the scam direction. eBay is always going to be the number one website to sell your stuff on, no matter what because, it's got the support of Powersellers and PayPal is also part of eBay, plus we will continue to use PayPal which will keep eBay alive. Since eBay has introduced these unfair policies in which sellers can't leave negative / neutral feedback, many seller, including some Powersellers are dumping eBay and moving onto other places but even with the sellers dropping, their gathering probably more than triple the amount of people who are leaving eBay.
Haven't used it since the policy/feedbacks changes recently.. problem is: there's no real competition for them. I still buy from there.. most likely won't sell there again if I can help it.
ebay is excellent for finding great deals, as well as selling unwanted junk. I am so glad they demoted digital products to classifieds only. Excellent move in my opinion.
If you mean from the perspective of a buyer, I think ebay has it's pros and cons. It all depends on what you buy though.
There policy of feedback that just changed of how if you get neutral feedback it bumps down the 100% is bs...
I like ebay, I buy and sell and also work for ebay as an affiliate. If you build a website and advertise their products, they'll pay you a commission on the fees.
Despite all its failings and downsides, eBay is without doubt the quickest and easiest way to make money on the internet. Yes, some people have had a poor experience, but given eBay's size this is bound to happen. Just to put it in perspective, around 136,000 people EACH DAY sign up with eBay. That's about 4 million new potential customers each month available to sell to. No, I don't work for eBay - never have. But, yes, I make money from eBay - by intelligent selling and via their affiliate program.
