What do you guys think about this Domain.

    I am going to start a dog website that will focus on dogs.

    dogesite.com

    I wanted dogsite.com but it was 8,888 dollars through godaddy

    If you are planning to optimize it for the search engine then I don't think it will matter much.

    People hardly type the full site name... if they like your content they will bookmark it.

    There are a lot of sites with long confusing name but it still pulls in lots of traffic and make a lot of money too.

    Pick the name you like best. Any name can be brand-able and bring traffic. Since you are pick a niche market SEO will be easier no matter what name you pick.

    But since you are going for a niche, why not try a more focused name, like...dogchewtoy.com (I know that name is taken, it was just an example.)

    Bring traffic and it will become a big thing, then if you want SELL IT.
