What do you expect from your SEO efforts?

I see a lot of threads here asking about ways to get quick SERP rankings or quick PR, so I see a lot of individuals trying to make money or get visitors quick which in my opinion is ok and who doesn't want that? I know I do but realistically will it happen? probably someone will say yeah just do this and that and no problem you get your wish. Most likely it will not happen.

Anyways what are your expectations, I have read in many places that in order to get good rankings in the search engines provided you have done keyword research, you know basic linking methods like article writing, WEB 2.0 postings, blog commenting, forum postings, and of course relevant content. Well after being consistent with all this to expect about 90 days to see results in the Search engines basically a good time for Google to measure the credibility of a new site, so would that be a good realistic expectation? or has someone done this quicker? and I am talking about long term, I know in occasions Google will place new sites on the first results maybe a week but then it just disappears.

So the question is how long do you think it will take to see results from your efforts?

unique content is the key this is what I learned. If you have unique quality content you ll get natural flow of unique visitors from SERP's and your site ll rank up there on SE.. Yeah make sure to use optimized keywords in your content.
