I am sitting in front of my laptop from last 8 hours and now feeling some pain. I make a point to take break every hour and do some stretching for avoid such problem, but i guess just like everything even my back have its limit. Have you ever faced such problem, if yes then what do you do to get rid of it?
Hey Jack, Having put on over 200 lbs in a very short time I am often a guest of "back pain" I have one of the thumpers that I got from Walmart, its a pretty powerful machine, you can get on for 17 -20 dollars in the pharmacy.. Also another good idea is to get a medium hard rubber ball at the store (base ball - softball size) place it on the floor or in your chair at the point on your back and roll around on it. Get the ball right on top of the spasm and alow the ball to sit right on it an relax your body ... stay there until you feel the muscle to begin twitching and count to 60 from there. The pressure causes the body to send more blood there .. Try it you will be amazed at how it works ... also drink alot of water,(purified) Hope it helped Sorry for the bad spelling , just waking up
do you slouch when you sit infront of your laptop? just do the usually stretching that you are doing everytime you feel the discomfort at your back
exercise and, if it's cronic, I would get an inversion table. ($200 at sports authority) Also, I sell opc-3, everybody should be on it. (helps all kind of things including back pain) -RonMo
Ron do those tables really work ? and for a person who is 200 lbs overweight it probably would be good for me would it? would it even hold me? I would love to try it if its what I am thinking
True that. I think you're just too much into your work. Stress is one more thing that might be causing it.
I had surgery when I was a kid because my left leg was 3cm longer than my right. It's still slightly longer so I get frequent back pains (especially during golf season). I've found that ICE helps the most. I also make sure to stretch before I do anything else in the morning. I stretch 3-4 times a day just to keep my back and legs loose. Since I've started stretching everyday, my back doesn't tighten up any where near as many times as it used to. Many people get back pain because their hamstrings are tight. So make sure you really stretch your legs out.
I've had a couple OSHA reported back injuries(back in my blue-collar days) that act up now and then. To get things aligned I used one of those wheels that has handles on it. I used it "SLOWLY" a couple of time (seems like I feel "popping" in my back), and I feel better afterward. It works for me, and only cost 10 bucks, i have an older single wheel one, but here is kinda what I use. http://www.sportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2250659&clickid=body_rv_img hth, tom
Those tables do work. Just make sure that the one you buy is rated for your wieght. (most are 350lbs) and have someone with you when you do it, so they can help if needed (shouldn't be a problem, though) I have a friend who had severe back pain. I gave him some OPC-3 www.world.isotonix.com (shameless plug) and let him use my inversion table. It's been a few weeks, and he has major impovement. He won't let himself run out of the OPC-3, and now he sees a chiropractor, (he gets a great deal on the treatments) so he doesn't use my inversion table much anymore. One more thing; have you heard of the trueback? http://www.trueback.com/ This is good if you can't afford chiropractic treatments. Hope this helps. -RonMo
When I think about back pain I will have it. No remedies..Many advised me not to sit hours together in front of computer. But I can't avoid sitting. If you are married and love your wife, get massaged by her (and vice versa). You will really find great relief. I have no tip for unmarried guys.
Work on your ABS, if you abs is strong, it will support you body better.. and correct posture is really important
Thats interesting Sams, is it really true .. cause I got no abs and I would have blamed my back muscles for not being good not my abs , but now that I think about it it make sense... Hmm food for thought cause I got me a gut and a half
