Hello, I have been studying internet marketing, seo, backlinks, blogging and all the necessary requirements for online marketing. I have one question. What does everyone do on a daily basis? I check the website stats on google analytics, and maybe write a blog post. I'm always looking around in the market that i am in for link exchanges, but most of the time the webmasters that i email for link exchanges never email me back. Should i be concentrating more on my blog? I am in the pest control industry. I would love to get up on the keyword "pest control" but i know its a very competitive market. So what do you do on a daily basis with your websites?

There are so many things you can be doing. but i suggest you put a plan on how you work on a daily basis. before i go to bed, i write a list of what i will want to accomplish by the end of the nest day. then the whole dya i try to meet that objective. the internet is a very vast place, you can start in the west if find yourself in the east after just one minute. on a daily basses i make sure i write a least 2 good articles and submit them, comment on forums like this one, make some research on a new niche, check my traffic stats with Google analytic and my hops with clickbank.
I agree with Kelvin. Write articles that sites could use that have a backlink to yours. Perhaps do some press releases -- if you could get some published on a large site (local news site?) you would get a lot of 'Google Juice' for the release. And hopefully they would let you include a link or at least mention your company.
I write articles and submit them to article directories on daily basis. Other than that, I also write press release articles regularly for website promo purpose.
I do the usual things everyday. Write, submit, write, submit. I also do social bookmarking and some link exchanges.
Excellent question to ask.... Plan out your day in advance, with a to-do list. Example Write Blog Post Social Bookmark Blog Post Write and submit 3 articles Find dofollow blogs and make atleast 10 comments Make 20 x forum posts per day That alone = 50 - 100 new back links
that too.... lol give atleast an hour dedicated to Procrastination, YouTube, South Park and Surfing the web for crap.
Focus on the content and keep on building one way link through blog commeting and forum signature. Besides submit article to article submission site or bookmarking to increase the indexed link.
CONTENT is KING (Articles + Blogs + Press release) or LINKS are QUEEN or PRINCE (Directories , Social Bookmarks) Do both of them ..............
w/e you do , the most important advice is give your 110% , make sure its universally appealing if possible , if you try your hardest and by the end of the day your tired then chances are you did a good job and this is the last step you need to do for your website , AFTER you've properly made your site seo-friendly
