So I was very very foolish b4 and bought a PR4 domain at a very very low price.

The PR is of course forged and I'm stuck.

    How can I fix it?

Fake PR is just like having no PR. Next update you will have the real PR, as long as you are no longer 301 redirecting to a PR4 site, which I assume you aren't.

The only way you can think it is to start getting some good quality links to it and hope that when the next update comes you will actually have a real PR4 site.

Thanks for comments and info guys.

What I'd really like to know now is - what happens to sites I link to and sites that link to me? Are they affected by the fake PR?

the sites that link to you are not affected. The sites that you link to are not affected since you never really had any pagerank to pass in the first place
