What do you DISLIKE most about article marketing

I was wondering what all you article marketers out there dislike about the whole article marketing thing.

Don't like writing all the articles?
I can't write that well.
Can't come up with enough ideas to write about.
Don't like all the conflicting directions from everyone?
Don't like waiting to see the results?
Takes too long to do it.
Don't know enough about it.

I am just looking for a general idea of what to look out for.

I hate the fact that I am giving away my articles and often time get nothing in return. Also the article directories have gotten like regular directories overcrowded. Too many people trying to make the quick buck. Also, many of the articles are just rewritten slightly and used without any regards to the original author.

 

I hate that it just adds another pile of crap on the already sky-high pile of the internet.

Honestly, you can do very well without writing a single article. Devote all of your time to writing for your site, building relationships and being an SEO master.

No. I'm saying that there isn't anything I dislike about it. ... I see no disadvantages.

Once you get going with it, and get really good at it, neither will you.

 

I wouldnt call it a waste of time. Depends on how easy you find it to write articles and what you expect in return.

 

Thanks Perry. But I was talking about the two posts above yours. They're pretty negative.

 

I hate the article sites that don't allow you to post a link in your article

 

Most of them do allow you to add a link. I don't know of any popular ones that don't. After all, that's why we submit the articles, if they want the content, they'll have to give us a link. Otherwise, why give them your content in the first place.
It's a give - give situation.

I hate thinking of stuff to write coming up with new material .

 

Wait a minute are you thee allen Graves? Holy smokes you are famous . If it is same Allen Graves I am thinking of you are a multi millionaire.

 

sometime ago there was a guy here on dp in the clickbank section that tested out article writing, well...he tried it for a long time..something like an article a day! but at th end of the whole story he was not making money...or just making a few bucks, i actually think that article writing is a waste of time.

poor return on traffic, plus articles get scraped and backlinks removed.

 

Snowbird, what do you mean they get scraped? Do you mean by the directory and ezine owners or the websites that pull RSS feeds from them?

Article marketing for me can be hard because it takes time and patience. You also have to wonder how effective it can be when a lot of these autosubmission programs are submitting to article directories that are absolute crap.

 

I don't like having to write so many! But hey, it pays...

 

i mean mostly the people that take your article and remove your links and post it elsewhere as their own.

 

That is probably my biggest frustration. I've actually seen one of my articles on someone's site without my link.

i also sometimes take peoples article but i always add the author and a link to the original article page, but not everyone is like me
