    What do YOU consider FIRST OF ALL when hiring a Hosting service?

    * Lowest pricing
    * A good tech support
    * Disk and Bandwidth sizes
    * Network and server speed
    * Extra tools (sitebuilder, os commerce, fantastico..)

    1. Support
    2. Uptime
    3. Price overall

    If you where looking at bandwidth and space then you would probably go with a host that over sells and offer 800 GB for 5 USD.

    1 Network and server speed
    2 A good tech support
    3 Disk and Bandwidth sizes
    4 Extra tools (sitebuilder, os commerce, fantastico..)
    5 Lowest pricing

    I already got a lot of problem with server provider that sell at cheap and good disk and space. So, my 1st priority must be the server speed and support.

    I would say good tech support, network and server speeds are the most important factors. One also needs to take time to compare plans, costs, and customer service to get the best possible hosting service.

    Even though I'm a host, when I'm shopping for a dedicated to test out, here is what I look for (in order of most important):
    1. Amount of Experience (Years in the making)
    2. Reviews
    3. Support (Telephone, Chat then E-Mail)
    4. Pricing for Specs
    5. Ease of Payments (PayPal AND Credit Cards)

    The reason I chose years BEFORE reviews is because a company could be getting great, immediate reviews when they setup an account for a customer, but might screw up later down the line (a good example would be HastyHost, do a search and you'll see that they closed down after promising lifetime hosting, which only utter idiots would jump for...notice all the great reviews they got while they sold the packages..)

    in my new order : 4, 2 , 1 , 3 , 5 ;

    arguments :

    4 - if is slow people don't come back and it's a horrible experience to browse a slow site

    2 - support is esential when a problem can happen

    1 - price because cheaper for the same quality is better

    3 - disk space and bandwith to be enough

    5 - if you want but not necessary

    Well around here the priorities are simple:

    1) Price
    2) Space Bandwidth
    3) Extra Tools
    4) Support
    5) Reliability

    Around here people buy $1/month packages with unlimited space and bandwidth then cry when everything is going down constantly.
