Real money means different things to different people. Any amount fo money that you earn that fulfills a need is real money in my eyes.

If you have a website that earns enough each month to pay your mortgage or rent...then it makes real money.

If you want to be debt free in 2 years and you earn enough each month to make that a realistic target...then you're making real money.

For me it has to be $1000/fortnight.
It might be a bit over ambitions for some people out there but that is the money.

That is a great way to look at it and communicate that message to new up-starters! Thanks.

My two cents, get away from the computer for a day, sit down, think about what it is you would like to accomplish with your on-line venture, regardless of whether it would make you millions or you had to still keep working that "off-line" job while you were moving forward....

I can tell you from 12 years of online business experience, my business plan has had to stay close by during that entire time. Lastly, you will always do very well with something you enjoy because you will care about what is taking place.

If it's all about the money, most likely you will only try to duplicate what someone else is doing successfully with very small variations, which won't be enough to sustain a market share to buy 2 donuts and a cup coffee.

Companies I Oversee: This is not a commercial, nor am I seeking business of any kind from anyone. I'm providing these links to bring creditability for christian231 and to be a contributor to what I see is a lot of very talented people seeking help.

I'd say that $800 or more each month is "real money" - maybe not the best, but it's certainly significant.

All of you are thinking of this, but how many of us are winning more than 200$/month in this moment? For example I am using just AdSense for this 200$/month, they are good then nothing, but really they are not enough.
From what services are people earning more?

As every person has different needs, people have different opinions on how much money they consider is makeing money.

As a student between 16 to 18 years old i would be quite happy with minimum $500 per month, because i think thats enough to buy my own personal stuff, but i also think theres always space for improvement to make a better income.

The older you get the more money you need, because you will need to take care of your mortgage, rent and other expensis.

    Every person has different opinions.

That's great advice...and I have done that on several occasions. I currently make around $2000-$2500 / month online (I still have a day job too) with various affiliate programs, Adsense, etc, so I'm familiar with what it takes to earn, and it's not easy like most people think. It can be difficult to work your normal job and then come home and put in another couple hours on your online ventures...but that's what it takes to succeed.

Once you ask yourself "Do I really need to go to work today?" and you answer "No"

Real money online is when the income exceeds your real world income such that you would prefer to spend time on the web than in your job.

I think quite a few people are making more than 200 dollars . . . honestly 200 from ADSENSE is good but when you look at how many page views to clicks you have . . . and then convert that to a different affiliate program THEN THAT IS WHEN THE MONEY ROLLS IN . . . if you are making 200 dollars a month off adsense look and see which type of ads you are displaying to get that much money per month and then join an affiliate program in that category and MAKE 4-10 TIMES THAT AMOUNT !

I LOVE GOOGLE . . . but when someone is paying 6 dollars a click and i am only getting - oh i dont know - .75 - 1.25 WHERE IS ALL THE OTHER MONEY GOING ? ? ? ? ? so surf around and find an affiliate program your site is already targeting and then GET MORE MONEY !

1 dollar. If you can make a dollar doing something then you can make a million doing it.

Success and Making Money are two different things, at least in my mind, if you only want money then that path will never end and you will lose everything around you. There are a lot of very unhappy very rich people.

When I left home 40 years ago at 19 with nothing, not much of an education, not even a place to stay I knew that I would succeed in what I was going to do and I did. Since then I have made and lost, what some would call fortunes 3 times but I never felt as thought I had failed. BTW the places I’ve been and the things I’ve done and seen – good life, good times

Each time I still had my health, my kids, my family and the knowledge of the experiences

Which proves to me that success is in reality an attitude or a frame of mind, regardless of the amount of money.

Making money can be easy if you have focused determination to succeed, with success the money will come. Don’t listen to anybody that tells you can’t do something force yourself to be disciplined, focus and learn from your mistakes. Many keep making the same mistakes again and again. Don't Dwell on what didn't work... Move On!

Always remember you have failed only after you’ve quit trying.

So “Real Money Online” Yesterday I got a check from an affiliate I promote I cashed it and got "Real Money". How much is irrelevant!

It's like a job, but to be like a job you have to work more than in a job. From Google AdSense I'm sure that is not possible to win more than 2000$/month, I'm just realistic and I don't care if someone is showing me a picture with his revenue, can be a fake one. I won from AdSense until now around 800$, but not in a month, in a couple of months. Probably if I'll start with affiliate networks I can earn more in a month, to be able to have what I need and also to do something with the money, just to take them and pay them.

For me it would be making enough to have all expenses covered and enough extra that there is never a concern about EVER having to have a job again. This would have to occur consistently and without much further effort on my part so that basically I am financially free to do whatever I chose with my time. THAT would be what I would consider making REAL money online.
