What do you consider a "good amount" of Google Organic traffic per day?

I have one small site (10 pages) that gets 200 unique visits from Google a day and I think that's a really good amount.

Another monster site could get around 400 a day and I think that's ok, but not a "good amount" for a site with tens of thousands of pages.

Obviously the amount of organic traffic is directly dependent on the size and investment of the site.

You can't really comment on what a "good amount" is because it varies so much between niches, it depends on where you rank and for what keywords.

Yeah, there are many factors to consider here, such as niche saturation, demographics, indexed pages etc. I have lots of sites that get up to 90% Google traffic, but each one gets different amounts.

it really depends on how much traffic is available in your niche and the quality of the traffic as if it can convert or not.

Any amount is good if you are making money with that traffic. The more traffic you get, the more money you will make. Anyway, I am looking for 2000+ for one of my sites.

If you are covering your expenses, then it is just enough. One of my sites gets a great deal of traffic but no sales. What good is this traffic if the is no sales?

You want to increase your traffic but what is it for? To make money, increase rankings, etc.

It mainly depends on the size of the site and the niche. But you should be happy with whatever organic traffic you receive as it is almost free. :)

You just can't get enough of traffic, 200 search referrals is pretty small.

A lot of the responses here talk about conversions, quality of traffic, niches etc... none of this has anything to do with SEO which just reinforces my position that SEO is quickly turning to more of a "Marketing Strategy" then ever before ;)

This was sort of a trick question to prove that my blog post about "Why SEO Companies May Someday Be Obsolete" is actually much more true then the original flaming I took for it would let you to believe :)

I mean I would say I would want it all. But if you have 5,000 hits from Google and not one dollar made...Then what's the point of this question?

    I want the 5 hits a day with a million made ; )

You can't never be sure what is a 'good amount' of traffic is, and you will always need and look for more ;)
however it's all based on your niche and the conversion rate is the most important factor.
