What Do you All Think of This New WP Link Building Plugin?

I got an email today from someone promoting this thing: http://www.automatedcontentcash.com/. The plugin is free, it's just used as a free giveaway to get you on the person's list, but I posted the direct link so you don't even have to opt-in to see it.

It's a WP plugin that automatically goes out and finds links for you on relevant blogs for each post that you make.

The way it works from what I read, is it will automatically send a pingback to the other blogs in your niche going by your target keywords telling them you linked to them, and then they will link back to you. So all the links would be reciprocal.

What do you more experienced people with link building think of this?

My opinion is that if this works and you get a few links back, they will probably all be nofollow links which are useless. And too right too - no self-respecting webmaster is going to set up their blog to give followed links out to absolutely anyone, especially someone who's using pingback spam.

There's no magic bullet for linkbuilding, really. It's easy enough to do the work - if it weren't so tedious an exercise it would be the perfect job ;)

    I think like Simpseo.
The best way to have good backlinks it is to build them ourselves.
Your hard work will be rewarded!

I know, I do my own link building all the time. I just came across this plugin and was wondering if it would actually work because it would at least make the process a little easier if you got good links from the blogs.

I think I saw someone using this though and it is spammy as hell. I had a pingback on one of my blogs yesterday and I went to check where it was from and the person that pinged me had a big list at the bottom of his post that looked like this:

Related blogs can be found here:
    http://xxxxxxxxx
    http://xxxxxxxxx
    http://xxxxxxxxx
    http://xxxxxxxxx
    http://xxxxxxxxx
    http://xxxxxxxxx
    http://xxxxxxxxx
    http://xxxxxxxxx
    http://xxxxxxxxx

The http://xxxxxxxxx of course being links to other similar blogs and posts in the niche. I'm pretty sure he was using this plugin because that is how they explained it to work and it just so happens I get this pingback the day after the plugin is released.

So yeah I'll definitely stay away from this. I was just curious what you all thought.

The devil is always in the details in regards to link building. I think too often we see automated tools and think we're going to be sitting on the beach somewhere while a computer does the work for us....it usually doesn't happen that way, unless you're that bum marketing guy.

Good link building takes effort, like writing articles, making videos etc etc.

Thanks for the example of how these software programs lose you credibility in the eyes of your human readers
