Name is a good registrar. Dot coms comes to 6.99 with private whois and with coupon which is on the website.
Have several domains with them and no problems so far.

I have several domains registered with Name.com and all are working great. Although their support is slow but still Name.com is a good registrar.

i would go for godaddy with coupons as gsv13 said, once you have more than 10 domains at godaddy they offer you free private registrations after 10 domains or so.. always check out their promo codes a good site is hxxp://godaddy.promo-code.net/

    Yeah.. name.com is good.
In fact, not only Godaddy has a coupon, Name.com also has it own coupon. SO?

Name.com has one of the best domain management interfaces. It's a breeze to change name servers, push domains etc. Decent registration & renewal prices too. Support is a little slow, but I've only emailed them twice.

I work for a registrar outside of the US, but I've had 30 domain names with Name.com for a couple of years, plus some other domains with a few other registrars.
I don't really have any problems with them so far. :)
