What do they mean when they say above the fold?

    I recently got accepted to CpxInteractive and Value Click. Can you guys tell me what they mean by above the fold?

    In what context did they use it? To my understanding, above the fold means the portion of a webpage that you see before scrolling downward.

    They said that their ads can only be shown above the fold. So what your saying is that you can't scroll down to look at the ads?

    The ads have to be visible to your site visitors without them having to scroll down.

    Im a little confused. So it has to be on the header? It cant be on the sidebars? Can you guys check game forum and see if I am doing it right? I was gonna place the ads where the google adsense is. On the sidebars. Thanks.
