What do pictures do to your site and where to find them?

Do you think that pictures will gain more traffic to your site and where can I find free pictures which I am able to use on my own website?

 

Just google "royalty-free stock photos" and you'll be presented with a list of thousands of sites eager to sell you photos for that purpose. Many of sites have free galleries as well (but the license restrictions are greater on freebies).

Photos definitely help. Especially people (lifestyle) photos.

 

pictures don't gain more traffic but once the traffic is on your site it helps break your site up so its more interesting and not all text.

 

If you want pictures, why not take them yourself? As an example - I take all of my own pictures for my site. That way I stay away from any copyright infringement stuff.

You can find stock photos and royalty free photos online. They do get traffic from image searches but that traffic does not convert as well and natural search traffic. Site below list some of the more popular sites for free photos you can use.

If you place pictures on your site, it makes sense to name them a keyword so the SE will see that keyword on your page.
