What do people think to my first website, in Html and Css

Hello, I'm still learning to be a web designer, and I have made this site, for my course I am doing.

its ok yeah, quite good for a begginner.
It looks very amateur though but what do you expect

A good way to learn is base you designs on other peoples templates

 

Well, no doubt it's a very good website but if you add some animation in it so that you can present these images in the flash animation then it will become more attractive and very effective because mostly people likes to see the website that have some very good and attractive animation but make sure that the animation should be relevant to the content of your site so that it can reflect the text of your site...

 

hey thanks, well, It's got to be a static web design. cause its my Assignment for my course I am doing. where i have to show my Html and Css coding skills. ^__^

 

Looks nice. A couple of points that might be worth considering: The size of your top image file is 310K, this is quite a large image file. It might be worth trying to reduce its size a bit. Its worth remembering that big images take time to download but making an image file too small you will loose too much quality and the site will look poor. Its a balancing act.
The other thing is that you have no meta data and your title tag should describe the page. Both of these points are really for usability and Search Engine Positioning so if its pure web design then great but if you are going to actually make websites that can get you on the front page of Google you need to look at other aspects. I guess thats later in your course?

The text in the left column is too dark for the background and somewhat difficult to read.
New web pages should never use the transitional doctype.
Normally I'd say the W3C badges are not worthwhile to show but since this is an assignment, it's OK.

 

I guess, this is just a site, to show my Html and Css coding skills. then later on, ill be doing dreamweaver. which i already know some off. at the min im learning photoshop, which knew some of anyways since i like drawings and that.

 

This site has newbie look... and very simple. I have to say it is good for a newbie. but not for a professional.. good luck.

 

Website looks quite good for a newbie, still you have to do hard work if you want your website become popular..

I like it really. Somehow it's very fresh even though it is amateur. I guess the simplicity of it is what is so attractive.
