Hi, I'm building a new site, and have currently checked all pages against: 1. http://validator.w3.org/ for checking the html 2. http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ for checking the css 3. Google Webmaster tools - to check for broken links etc Does that cover most things or is there anything else I should be checking against (aside from usability testing)? Thanks
Hi, do check once the URL's, are they search engine friendly or not. If no then it should be SE friendly URL's.
Dorothykinder - thanks for the advice. I'm currently using a thing called ".htaccess" to turn dynamic urls into seo friendly urls... however I'm not sure if there's an easy way to actually be sure that the ".htaccess" pages behave like "normal" pages to search engines!
Google can fully handle dynamic urls with no problem. Websites are search engine friendly, not urls. In fact, do a search for: what do I need to validate and see the urls that show up on google. Stephen C
