Basically I need a programmer, a designer and an internet marketer. Then, when a project appear, these 3 guys make a conversation to deside the basic look of the website (what pages it should have, what does every page contain and more details which will help them to 'merge' their individual works into a website). Then they start working simultaneously: 1. The programmer makes the functionality of the site - PHP & MySQL; 2. The designer makes the design and html & css basis of the website; 3. The internet marketer researches the market and tells them how to do their work according to his marketing attitude. When they finish, the programmer gives to the designer the PHP files (which, I guess, don't even contain the 'html' and 'body' tags; the only use of HTML for the programmer is when he needs textboxes, checkboxes and other forms). Then the designer 'puts' his html & css work into the PHP files. After that the website is uploaded to the server and the internet marketer begins his work on marketing the site. Am I even close about the way the things happen? I am very, very curious to know this, because some day I might make such a studio. P.S. Please excuse my English
I guess technically speaking that would work...However, in my professional opinion, you need a STRONG project manager to make sure all of your workers unite for a common goal and theme. More times than not, if you just expect three individuals to build a website, the designer might pick a layout that is too complex for the programmer, the programmer might not agree with where content should be, etc. You really need these people to all be on the same level, or you need a project manager that can really tie these workers together and make the decisions. Or you could hire someone who does it all, and these problems won't exist. Also, I would second guess your process of working simultaneously...the more people you bring in, the longer this project will be come. And it will be virtually impossible for a coder to start working without the initial HTML/CSS framework built. I would recommend having the designer be accountable for only the .psd. Have the programmer slice, and code HTML,CSS, PHP, jQuery, or whatever backend languages you might need. Then have your marketer market. I don't really feel these steps can be completed at the same time unless you have workers that can predict the future.
Thanks for the answer. If the designer makes the psds only, wouldn't the programmer have too much of work? The creation of a psd design doesn't take more than 2-3 days, but the programmer would have may be 10 days of work. The slicing isn't a big deal, but it takes more from the programmer's time while the designer is idle. In this way of thinking I should hire 3 programmers and 1 designer. Thus their work would be a kind of balanced. I think that it is a good idea the company to have an already made basic layout. So the programmers won't wait for the designer.
What you say is true. But it is really the programmers job to slice the images. The designer could make this easier by making the layers on the psd organized and easily navigated by layer colors, or group labels. We have 2-3 programmers per designer, and sometimes when all the programmers have all their plates full, we only accept designs. A project manager is very handy if you want to start a team.
I can't understand that. You are saying that a PHP and MySQL programmer should have huge knowledge on HTML and CSS? I didn't expect to hear that. I thought that the designer is the person who should know HTML and CSS, cross-browser stuff, etc. Or may be there should be a man who slices and puts into html files...
The developer is the one that makes all the code work. It is the job for the designer in, my eyes, to do the designing of the site. Designers do generally know front end scripts and code but have no idea of the back end server side languages. Developers generally know the back end of the coding but will be able to do both back and front end editing.
Hi Its a very simple to create a website. Just Purchase a domain name and Web space from a service Provider. You will get a Space on a live server and you will get a control panel to control your website You will get some default website scripts on the control panel you just install it and modify the contents Accordingly which will be completed within a day.
You're missing one point. If you put a developer, a designer and a marketing expert together, what do they need you for? It seems that the only thing you would be "contributing" is a place to put the profits - your pocket. In a large company, one programmer does the server-side coding (PHP, SQL), another one does the client-side programming (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and a designer does the art work. They work to a program specification, one doesn't "give" his work to another.
Don't worry. If I decide to make such a company, I will think about every aspect. Thanks to my education and hobbies (some of which have turned into professional interests through the years) I can be a programmer, an HTML and CSS guy, marketer of the company, manager, accountant... (This wasn't modest at all ) But this is not the point. My job wouldn't be programmer or manager or whatever I could do in the company. I am an entrepreneur. The man who gives his own money, time and labour to start the company. Who would pay for the office, computers and the other stuff? Me. I take the risk. And yes, I will put the profits into my pocket, but what if the company fail? You shouldn't look at the things so positively. The business environment is not walking on clouds while kind angels are playing around. It is not a must to make money. Thanks for the comment.

The marketing guy should be the first in line. So he can tell the others what to build. First you find a need then fill it.
I don't think that should be a problem. Supervisor(Tells them what to do) Programer Designer Laiser Marketing
