What do i link to?

I just launched a new site. Right now its only a forum, and it might stay that way. So, I have the homepage 301 redirecting to ../forum. Do I have people link to the homepage or ../forum for the forum to get PR?

 

I believe the page rank will automatically follow the redirect but I am no expert. Why don't you set-up a home page with some on topic rss feeds and forum news, recent posts, ect....

It is up to you what page you want good rank. find one and give link to that page

 

or how about you set up the forum on the homepage.

 

Because I might be adding a full site in the future, ill try that jg, do you know of any good scripts to accomplish that?

 

Not sure but I know most of the major CMS's can have forums attached no problem. The only ones I have used is Geeklog and Xoops, Google them and check them out they are pretty cool.

I like using geeklog with the phpbbbridge plugin to integrate phpbb into the same database as geeklog.
