I got banned at NamePros and I have a domain registered there. I sent a message and told him I couldn't access my domain. I told him I would have to call enom (since they are a reseller for enom) and he responded saying he doesn't care if I was on with the pope. So what do I do? He may have a right to ban me from his forum but as a reseller he has no right to restrict me from my domains.
Do you have your domain authentication code? If you have it, then you can transfer it to another place.
What makes you think they don't have the right to restrict you from the domain name if you didn't read the terms of your agreement? You did read it, right?
Well, the best thing seems to be to contact ENOM and see what they say. Then again, if they have TOS that says "if your banned, you cannot access your domains", in that case you might have a issue
I cant see how anyone can restict you from getting access to your own domain. I understand that you get banned but they should give you access to transfer your account. Yes, the best thing is to contact enom and explain to them the situation. It will be hard but you may have some luck
Yeah I sent an email to them but no response. I'll try calling again but their hold times are 30 mins to one hours .
I'm sorry you find my post crap. But you still haven't answered my question, and I still can't seem to find any hint why you got banned at NP. Good luck with eNom. If they choose to wash their hands off it, then I'm also sorry to say you'll have to seek legal advice.
I don't think I understand. It sounds odd that a TOS could lose you access to a domain. Have you checked here to see if it offers any help? http://www.internic.net/
I'd imagine some people can find that odd when they don't read the contracts they agree to upon using a service provider. Unless applicable law says other- wise, not reading them doesn't render it null and void. If it's any consolation to any of you who experienced this, I learned this the hard way myself. I've known better since then.
