Hi there, I wanted to know whether its common that all the pages of a site are not indexed? I mean are there any pages of the site that already has good PR, not showing up pages in search engine? Also, What do we do about those pages that are not getting any visitors at all? A good analysis from google analytics shows that many pages of my sites have been getting zero visitors. So what do i do about them?, delete them or something else??
If no visitors were interested in those pages, this means the information on those pages are not intersting enough for them, at least as they can conclude basing on the title of a link. This means either: the titles of the links pointing to those pages are too bad, or they directly tell visitors that the entire page isn't worth reading. In the first case, you need to reconsider the titles, in the second case - the entire content of those pages.
First find out whether those pages are indexed in Google or other search engines I would first prefer you to find this page in Google. If you found then its good and if not, then try to index it first. Now, try to find the keywords for it and find out whether there is some search for it through Google Trends. Get some backlinks, make the contents on those pages more interesting and submit their links into social bookmarking website and social networking websites. Will take time but you will get visitors.
Yes this might be the reason and you need to make your title to be more attractive which will lead to more visitors. If contents are duplicate then they are less probable to get any visitors. Also make the short description of page to be attractive. Other than stuffing keywords into it, you must write some 2 lines informational information and this will surely make huge effect.
If these are more than a year old, you might as well rewrite the content. As least you do not need time for research anymore.
also i have same this type of problem my site home page will daily crawl but my inner page are not crawl even 10day but i got all ranking from home page not inner pages what's problem in my inner pages i don't know can anyone have perfect ans for this problem
Its connected with Keyword Selection issue. if you have targeted very low traffic volume keyword it wont give you any traffic whether you rank or not. Do keyword research again and start target them no need to delete pages.
Do not delete those pages. You can either rewrite them with few modification or just forget about them. Try to link those posts with new posts. Inner page linking can help you to drive some traffic.
@mirisaamali I suggest you to wait for few days(atleast a month). It takes time. Try to link it with the best keyword of your web page. You can recheck your old traffic driving posts and look for the possibility to link to old pages which doesn't drive no traffic. I had a similar issue but later I started applying this method and it helped me to not only increase the page view but organic traffic as well. If any of your page is having higher PR it will be a best weapon to link your old pages. SEO is all about trial and error method. I learn it by trying different methods. Never delete those pages. It will throw 404 error pages (and If you have linked from other pages you will find few more 404 pages). It is a bad practice. It will distract your website visitors as well as SE.
I agree with Ricky709's recommendation that you be sure to have sufficient internal linking to those pages. If you have that and are still getting no traffic, I would suggest that the reality is that those pages are simply not of interest to web surfers.
make sure that these pages have innerlinks to the homepage and bookmark all your 150 pages.Go for intense seo plans for your home page i think if you have a budget of 2000 dollars i can assure you with great results
