What directory submission software do you use?

    Hi guys,

So far I've been doing manual directory submission, but it's fairly boring and directories are made more often than I can submit.

So, what directory submission software do you use, if any? How much does it cost? What results have you had?

Feel free to PM me with your affiliate links, but only if you have experience using the directory software yourself and only if you beleive it's the best software out there.

You should always do it manually, most directories that are respectable have CAPTCHA protection anyways.

I do the respectable ones manually and always will, that said backlinks never hurt and If I can get heaps in one hit, I am going to take 'em.

But we'll see what everybody else has to say :).

I use the free version of Directory Submitter. You still have to manually submit to the directories, but the software includes a list of directories which can be sorted by PR or Alexa rank. It loads the website within the program window and autofills all the information. So all you do is 'click click' and the job is done. Of course there's the paid version which automatically submits everything, but it costs $76.

I'm telling you, there is a reason why most services\directories don't want people using automated programs, take that into consideration.

Directory submission software that has there own built in list and saves form data for you are great tools to use. They are a great way to save you time when submitting your sites, most of the software out there is not automated, you still need to enter in captcha codes etc. That is fine though, having to copy and paste each form field would take longer anyhow. You could also look into use Roboform to remember form fields for you and just use excel or a word file to keep track of the directories you have already submitted to. In the end, most directory submission programs you will find just help you store your form information and keep track of the sites you have submitted to.

Check the Website Submitter in my signature and the thread here in DP. It is prefilled with 3500 directories, 14 days trial and a video demo is available.

I personally believe in manual submission of websites to directories. See auto submitters can be seen as spam by the search engines, especially if they are submitted many times in a short period of time. If that is the case Google will ban the site. As a SEO I believe the best way to have a site indexed is through linking and perhaps part of your fee could be used to buy the appropriate links. I did use IBP9 earlier but not now....

    Quality guidelines - basic principles::::::::
Don't use unauthorized computer programs to submit pages, check rankings, etc. Such programs consume computing resources and violate our Terms of Service. Google does not recommend the use of products such as WebPosition Goldâ„¢ that send automatic or programmatic queries to Google.

Even though it may be a tedious process, but manual directory submission is the reliable method.

Agree, and the effort you made will have results someday...

Very excellent way of link building rather than using the automatic submissions...

I always pay to have it manually submitted. Doing the work yourself is too time consuming and boring.

look in the buy/sell/trade section of DP. You can usually find good deals, the last one I did was only $6 for 300 submissions (I think)

Though softwares are available to do directory submission but it's always better to do it manually. So do it accordingly to get quality results.
