Post what you did with your first $100! I'm finally about to reach my first $100 after having my site up since march. By that time, I will probably have about 80-85k visitors. Is that about right? I know its not a definite thing, just want to know if thats about the right amount of money per visitors. Anywho, I know the first thing I am going to do with the $100 is invest in a URL and paid hosting. I will probably just go with the paid hosting that sitesled(current free host) has because it is only $5 a month and I have NEVER had problems with them. That will set me back about $70 (including URL). So what do you reccomend I do with the remaining $30? I really don't want to try adwords as I don't see that giving me very much traffic. I was thinking of getting a myspace friend bot adder thing. I know not many people agree with the whole myspace bulletins thing, but all I do is add friends and post quotes in bulletins about 3 times a day. I never post links in those bulletins, nothing but the quote and the person who said it. If they like the quote, than they will usually come and check out my profile which in turn usually leads them to my site. Has anyone used one of the adder bots? Any suggestions? If not that, are there any other cheap means of advertising or link building? Thanks for any help. And of course, what did you do with your first $100?
Went to Disney World. No really my first $100 paid for hosting and the rest went into the checkings account.
Well i allredy reach 100$ but will not widraw money i'm waiting for a bigher sum Adsense is not my maine income with my first money i will probably put in my savings i'm saving for a 320 BMW
I just payed bills. Nothing special. You should get your own URL as soon as you can though - any link-building you do before that time is gone as soon as you have that new URL. My site moved to its own domain in 2001 (I think, something like that) and I STILL see links pointing to the old domain. In my case that isn't much of a problem as my host hasn't changed and there is an automatic redirect going on, but still.
In fact they're in my wallet right now I'll pay hosting and other services My advice: Invest invest invest!
nice nostalgia topic.! I earned my first income when I was about 8 years old and it was about 20 Rs for a week way back in 1986. (about 0.50$). I bought toys (Gun and a car). My first stipend was 2500rs (about 55$) in 2500Rs for a month. I used 2 months stipend to open a savings account. My first salary was 6000 rs (about 130$) and I used it to pay up my petty loans borrowed from friends when I was unemployed for 6 months. My first online earning was a cheque of $4.95 (from selling my first computer game) which my bank refused to accept as the processing fee is about 8$ for a foriegn currency cheque. So I have kept it as memorabilia. My first puzzle publishing income was about 50 pounds and I really dont remember how I spent it. My first adsense revenue is due this month, about 250$ and I dont have any special plans. Now this amount looks too small to plan. But quite a good figure considering my unemployment & under employemnt 5 years ago. Advice for you: Invest back. Make sure your investment will benefit you. I dont think buying links or advertisement is going to help. At this stage, you need to improve your site's quality & content so that people will be comfortable linking back to your site. You can even buy some books that can motivate you to work better.
I just put it in bank safely because I wanted to save money to purchase a new bike. And I did it before 4 months, Thanks to adsense
