    1) Don't be upset with AIG; Its Chris Dodd's (Democrat Senator from CT) Fault.
    (see http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/industries/finance/dodd-cracks-aig---time/

    2) Those bonuses should be just another earmark; they're only a miniscule % of the over all spending bill.;)

    3) This is nothing more than a Distraction on the part of The Obama Administration to distract from his falling poll numbers and his ever increasing failure as President.

"What we have here is a failure...": that's...

The politicians should give back those bonuses they received from AIG!:) j/k

If Obama wants to cry about AIG bonuses now, why did he allow the "exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before Feb. 11, 2009" to be in the stimulus bill?

This is funny, "Dodd’s original amendment did not include that exemption, and the Connecticut Senator denied inserting the provision. “I can't point a finger at someone who was responsible for putting those dates in,” Dodd told FOX. “I can tell you this much, when my language left the senate, it did not include it. When it came back, it did.”

So we don't know who added that provision, and everyone just signed?

This doesn't suprise me in the slightest. If it's one thing these bailouts have taught me is that a lot of bills are not even READ before they are signed. Like the last bailout. Ron Paul and other Republicans were so pissed and straight out asked if they could have more time to read the bailout because they were NOT allotted the 48 hours they were supposed to have to fully read the bill, over 1,000 pages! The Democrats shot their request down and the bailout was signed, with over 80% of the Reps and Senators not reading it.

    How disgusting...

    I agree, it's disgusting.

That's one thing I respect about Dr. No:), he's not just a warm body like so many of our politicians. He actually reads every bill, evaluates it, and then votes based on whether it's supported by the constitution.

    *sigh*

The big difference between these bonuses and earmarks as earmarks are usually social programs that help everyday Americans (in some way or another.)

These are million dollar bonuses being paid for by taxpayers to people who didn't even do a very good job.

    The comparison is ludicrous.
