What is PR? Sorry, I am a total noob in this area of the Internet.

 

PR = Page rank set by Google
The better quality, content and links on and to your site determines your page rank.

 

1) Topical relevancy of linking site and page
2) Anchor text
3) PR of linking page
4) Homepage PR of linking site
5) Number of outgoing links from linking page
6) Placement of link and surrounding text

Relevancy is most important for SERP, page PR determines additional PR you receive.

a link providing targeted audience is defination of valuable link for me. PR is just a number game which changes every 3 months. Most important thing is traffic.

 

Isn't a good quality backlink one that gets you potential traffic as well as the trimming like PR etc?
