Are business directories really any different from general, or is it just a marketing thing?

A true Business Directory caters much to, well Business related. For marketing I am now claiming NwParks.net as a Business Directory, but it is more General Directory as the way is laid-out.

To me a business directory would be limited to only those sites that are being used to sell a specific (not via advertising CPA or CPM programs) product or service.

A general directory would also include sites to share information (tutorials, articles, etc) and pleasure (hobbies, games/arcade, etc).

As I write this I wonder where a directory site falls. It is a business site as it offers advertising space, yet it is more of an informational site in nature.

i think Business just makes it look professional and is used for marketing purposes because most of those are general directories
