What CTR is too high?

Ive been playing around with my adsense to try and increase my 4% CTR. Ive just done a complete site redesign and in the process I have optimized my ad layouts and colors to blend perfectly.

Today I wake up and I have a 17.6% CTR. Is this too high? Ive never really played with adsense so I just want to make sure I wont get banned for something like this.

As long as you don't have images next to your ads, your not trying to scheme, you don't have anything to worry about.

Also, what kind of impressions are you getting? There is a big difference between 17.6% CTR on 50 impressions and 2,000 impressions. ;)

You don't need to worry about it as long as you are not doing anything against their TO's.

You need not worry about CTR if your traffic is genuine. Google would be more than happy if visitors are interested in the advertised products.

I have about 500 impressions today.

Im not using images or anything like that. But my ads are located perfectly above the fold which really encourages clicks.

Im doing a lot of redesign work as I said, so I have very little content on some of the pages which might make people click the ads. Only a paragraph of text on a few of the pages explaining that we will be down for a few days. Is this bad? Should I throw up a few extra paragraphs of random text so google doesnt think Im trying to cheat them. Im not trying to cheat them at all so I want to make sure its all legit.

Wow, nice CTR. Mind giving me a link to your site so I can see your ad placement?

    Thanks.

You redesigned your website! That's a very good time investissement !!! congrats
You remind me of MFAs... you should use a redirect to a single page from all pages with no interesting content

It depends on the # of clicks you recieve also. If you have a CTR of 50% from 1 click but only 2 impressions: that's fishy.. especially if it occurs a lot. Compared to 1000 impressions and 500 clicks.
