what counts as a post?

I understand that 25 posts are required before I am eligible to submitt any sales offers

What counts as a post -- does a reply count as a post or is jus the new threads

Yes replies count. But they have to be worthwhile, not just a few words or "me too"-type posts.

 

You need to be a member for DP for over 14 days.

I'm still under 14 days , just got to be patient and when the time comes , you can start making threads in the
buy , sell , trade section.

Just be smart about it. Many reach the point only to be banned.

 

you might not be around long enough if you don't know how to post in the right section.

 

due to the size of this forum and the sheer volume of posts, literally millions, posts that have no value are frowned upon and in most cases, met with swift action. posting that your interested or that you want the thread starter to PM you more info etc are considered 'fluff posts' ie they have no value. posts made that actually say something worthwhile are posts that are more then welcome. please do participate in areas that you want to, but give thought to what your posting and ask yourself this question:

"Does my reply have any value to anyone other than myself and/or the original thread poster?" If not, send them a private message.

Thanks to all who have offered advice. As a new person and not overexperienced its the small things that stop and block - so its good to be able to send a question out and get experienced advice
