What could get you banned?

    What does Google consider so bad that they will ban your site?
    The only things I have confirmed is sites using some sort of cloaking and computer generated spam sites.

    Is there anything else?

    My Appology for trying to suggest on a forum which I joined just now. But friends I have good experience with SEO (I joined this forum now but I am into SEO since last 4 years). Google does not ban a website for clicking on adsense. Instead google may allow adsense to run on banned websites.

    A banned website will not be available on google index and will not come in search result. If you click on the adds then your adsense account will stand cancelled. But in no way this would affect your original website.

    There are various other reasons for a site getting banned and some of them are

    1. Cloaking
    2. Link Building
    3. Spaming
    4. Confusing Content
    5. Other Black Hat SEO
    6. In experienced SEO practice.

    Please advice me if I am wrong somewhere :)

    Link buildling is okay.. Just not spam link building.. People say avoid reciprocal linking, but it's given me great results.

    lars, are you talking about being banned from the Google Index or from adsense?
    Both are separate, and different things will get you banned from either of them.

    I got confused because of the answers some people were giving... like clicking on your ads, which could get you banned from adsense.
