After watching zodiac, and numerous other movies and reading about stuff involving senseless killings (murders), i am curious what you guys think drives a man to kill. Im not talking about self defense or anything like that, no passion. Im talking about serial killers. They scare me. What could possibly make them? Are they wired differently? Like Leigh Allen the zodiac killer? It intrigues me.
Their probably mentally ill, they can't see what their actions do. The scary part is that they may seem friendly and normal, even your friend or a person at work. Then you find out he/she has 25 dead people in their walls.
lol thanks. when im at work tomorrow im going to be looking around. My trust for my work mates is now gone.
I don't really know... I some people normally, due to some form of mental illness... though not necessarily a serious one, just give up with the world... Like people who get obsessivley attracted to people sometimes just go round killing everyone who the target of their obsession likes, in an attempt to get closer to the one they are obsessed about... Its all quite spooky in my opinion
Yes and i heard that it might be caused by abuse. But i also watched this documentary. And a guy was a piromaniac. And he use to burn down houses and masturbate over it. I just think some people are wired differently. They have to be different somehow.
I agree. They are mentally ill or suffering from substance or drug abuse. It could be anyone...beware!
must be a mental case! an example can be the, "NITHARI", but then forget it, as these things can't be helped,
A lot of them are very smart, have poor social skills, are not in a relationship and feel like the world owes them something.
Yes social skills is a big factor,I heard years ago that there are at least 3000 serial killer roaming the US. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]According to an FBI Behavioral Unit study serial killing has almost climbed to an epidemic proportion. Up to 85% of the world's serial killers are in America. You are more likely to get struck by a car then you are to fall into the hands of a serial killer. Yes, serial killers are wired differently. Factor in that the vast majority of serial killers had a terribly dysfunctional childhood with little to no structure or stability and you have the makings of a killer personality. Of course, there are plenty of people who grow up in unstable homes and don't turn out to be serial killers. Hence the reason I believe that serial killers must be wired differently in order to perpetrate their crimes. Mental illness is a serious disease, but not everyone with mental illness is going to run out and begin a killing spree.
In some cases I think it could be a different belief system. They have values that are out of alignment with what society deems acceptable.
Yes i have had depression. And i don't think it would ever drive me to commit a crime. When i have it i feel weak. And plus you can still think logically. If anything people with depression and anxiety would harm themselves. But i think it might be different for schizofrenia.
Ya, schizophrenia is psychotic but depression is totally different. Being weak and down is one of the symptoms.
YAAAH, Fox Lore, You are a creepy guy! I read that 86.5% of serial murderers have done research and can spout figure and stats about serial murders!
