OK and realistically speaking you believe that is going to solve the issues?

    macdesign,

how about editors having some sort of time frame to review sites, or other editors can apply for their category? Or is this possible? Seems like most drag ass, from what I've seen so far.

Second, how about some kind of automated notification system. You blame me for slowing things down because I submit more than once... I've been sitting on my hands for like 6mos not knowing what is going on. Maybe if I submit daily I'll get some notice or maybe it'll just take an extra year to get through... who knows.

    sitetutor, you're flip-flopping again...

I have blasted macdesign in the past and I don't have much faith in macdesign's suggestions being implemented but they are actually pretty good... and they have more likelihood of success than your blog.

Can we add one more choice to the poll?

o Force DMOZ to make sitetutor an editor and then forbid him ever to discuss DMOZ at DP again

you're obviously not serious about this and only about yourself, just like the editors you have a problem with. If you are not big enough to put yourself about your own issues, you will never be able to participate in any serious solutions. Even if someone was on your side like many would be opinion wise, they'd be embarrassed of the assosiation with you and your comments. It is like Animal Farm, kick out the bad ones and then have worse ones. According to your behaviour over here, you would most likely be just as bad as the worst of the RZ editors and you know it. That is had things turned out differently and DMOZ had accepted you at some point. Have a nice day

because I don't agree with you, right? You would make a great head editor at DMOZ taking editors to the side for not publically speaking YOUR mind

TOOT Minstrel has never changed his position, you were the one who changed so don't condemn Minstrel for holding his position just because you changed, he is more in the right for being mad at you versus you at him, so I would say that you are the one that should back down for leading the forum down a winding road.

No. Because you can no longer figure out if you even agree with yourself. You're now at the point where your head is arguing with your ass and neither of you can even recognize one another.

Get some sleep, Toot. You'll thank me in the morning.

Because I think that would be a total waste of my time. How about you go there and do a search for all posts by minstrel? Okay... now did you find any? Why do you think that is, Toots?

But if you think that YOU can accomplish anything there, as i have said repeatedly, by all means go... knock yourself out... you'll get no interference from me, I promise you.

I am there and you don't see me supporting them, do you? Just like my post on Will's thread which I am surprised didn't get me banned again. Now wtf are you guys priding yourselves by being the Kings of your comfort zone. At least I am trying, and trust me, my posts over there are liked by editors as well. Go bury your heads in the sand and tell each others sweet little lies.

How about some non-hateful options such as

    - it ain't broke, leave it alone

ok, so that one won't fly, but

    - Improve communications regarding site status

    or

    - Implement some sort of time based queue whereby older submissions MUST be processed in reasonable time.

Your only choices seem to be toss it out, tear it down, toss it out or toss it out. Not very constructive if you ask me.

Hi Ziandra. You're right, I guess I approached this from the angle of something drastic needing to be done. My motivation behind that was that the issues have not been addressed within the ODP and no real improvements have been made. I personally see a lot of editors get intimidated by the head editors as well and have lost my faith that those in charge do want to actually have anything go different from how it is going.

If I may say so, I don't see the efforts being made there, I see good ideas from editors being ignored and when they voice them publically, they are being taken to the side and receive some sort of message which can easily be described as a warning.

I am saying this because for the past 3 years I have seen the same issues again and again. I would love to see something good being done under the current structure, I personally cannot see this being accomplished. I could be wrong of course but then again, that is why I wanted this thread to be open to communication from everyone who is interested in improving things as they are :)

Yes, you are, Toots... very. But I think if you just get some rest you'll feel a lot better in the morning.

Have you ever considered that they can't be bothered to ban you because they just don't take you seriously?

Say, is it just me or are you trying to jack every thread here to be right? You don't even care about what is right, do you? You care about you being right. You'll get very far. Now make some space for others to give some new feedback, you have about 200 threads in here about the same thing, none of which has ever accomplished one thing.
