I am gettin clicks in my tracking stats, but when I go to my Google adsense account not clicks are shown. In my stats it shows as an exit link. Can any one tell me what the problem is.

what stats program are you using which is showing clicks in your tracking stats?. If you are using statcounter then:
Statcounter can track only certain types of adsense (I think they are called link units and do not take you to any specific web site other than a list of web sites provided by google relevant to the link that was clicked) . Hope that makes sense. I posted this exact same answer somewhere else!

Any tracking that is not specifically from Google is unreliable and will not provide and exact 1:1 match with what Adsense stats show.

Yes I am using statcounter, and it shows as an exit link. I thought they had to click it in order to exit with it.

I'm sorry I didn't see the post about the statcounter before now I would not have posted this thread.

For it to count with statcounter, I think any click in the ad area is counted (along with other triggers) For ADSENSE to count it, it has to be in a particular PART of the ad. A click in the blank portion of an ad is not counted.

I'm not sure you are right at all, I use Statcounter and it only ever records Adsense clicks for a page exit for "link units". It may however track the link clicked from a normal add if the page you go to also uses the statcounter code. That would be possible, but I have no idea if that happens.

I have started to use addshield . com as they are tracking the clicks for me and showing me ad positions and CTR which should be really good when i get enough data.
