What could be Wrong with my CB sales strategy?

I have started affiliate marketing around 6 months back. I have been writing in this forum for the past 3 months or so. I am a blogger and also a member of many social blogging sites. I get around 300 to 350 hops per day mainly for bookmarks and blog posts on games , movies , shows and news topics of interest besides occasional articles.

My concern is my low conversion . I am marketing the movie /tvon PC / ipod /fat loss products. The conversion is too low 0.01% (lol). What is wrong with my strategy? I see people making 3 digit income for same number of hops per day.Kindly help me .

Social bookmarking will get you traffic but typically doesn't covert very well. The products you chose to market have a lot of competition. The marketers who have better conversion rates are more than likely using adwords or similar (with some exceptions). I would consider a product in a smaller niche or one with a smaller gravity.

some of those movie sites convert very poorly. Why not try a different niche?

Yeah those movie pages are terrible in my experience. However, some of the other niches do quite nicely but it all really depends on the type and source of your traffic.
