What content management system would be good for short term/long term job search which can be indexed/ categorized by -
    1. location of person(s) searching to hire people
    2. location of person(s) searching to work
    3. type of job (cutting lawn, laundry, painting house, looking after dog)
    4. duration of job (short term or long term)
    5. profiles of subscribers (subscribers meaning person in 1 & 2)
    6. can be filtered /arranged by cost/price $

Also can the subscribers (5) freely choose to subscribe by their facebook / google+ or twitter profile.

Job search something along these lines http://www.sjs.co.nz/

Wordpress is pretty good if you just add plugins and find the best theme for your purpose and audience.

    are you fl0w from pb?
also wordpress is good if you want to streamline this and get it up asap. otherwise building from scratch is almost always more flexible, scalable, and generally better.
