What content does Google index?

When a GoogleBot visits a site, what code is actually being viewed and indexed? Is it the raw html, for example, or the html that is presented through a browser?

More to the point, are the bots indexing the css code, if the stylesheet is external, or what I would see if I did a View Source?

    Thanks in advance...

check the indexed page option to see whats indexed...its also good practice to have the css code validated with w3c just in case...it does not ondex flash, it indexes content

Text content of your web pages, Images as files for Images Search and their ALT tags as text content, SWF - PDF - Office - Text - etc.. Files.

P.S: Google DO index flash based files: SWF and it reads it's content.. Title, Description and Text ;)
