I've set up a case study to maximize dating ad CTRs (and possibly CVRs) in Plenty of Fish just to see which color perform best for men 18-24, US, Session Depth <= 5. What color border do you think will work best for dating offers (targeting young men)? # Black # Red # Blue # Light Blue # Purple # Pink # Orange # Rainbow It's was a small case study, but it was quiet interesting to see the results.
Might depend on the color layout of the site. Brighter and/or different colors than the site tend to stand out a bit, but sometimes too much that people realize they are ads and don't visit. If a site was mostly the traditional blue links and the ads were that same color I would be more likely to visit an ad. I guess it all depends.
Yep it's all depends on many factors and situations. It was just an interesting results to see the colors on top 3. But yeah you are right with the brighter color and people don't go visit because it stands out more.
