What color scheme should I use?

I'm creating a gossip website called UGLY S.O.B., which I'm using vbulletin's CMS system. I don't like their default colors. What color scheme should I use?

I've gone to a few color wheel sites, it's not something I'm good at implementing. Maybe I should just hire someone to do it for me? I do have a budget after all.

I'm not good at using those. I have already and I can't figure out what scheme to use. Now I'm looking for actually suggestions from other members.

I think you have to think a little bit about your target market and their preferences. I would have to assume that for a gossip site there are going to be more girls than guys visiting(I could be wrong) and that should tell you a little something about the colors. I would go with something bright like a pink or an orange as the compliment color to maybe a very light gray base color.

Have you had any success? I've just gotten back into coding and styling templates for VB4 since they've changed the way the template system works... Still need help?

I do not know what the site refers front page but she is just fine... (black and gray combination with-color images is OK)...
Perhaps you would be easier to change the whole template, but that doing the correction to the existing ...

I agree that you should pick something bright but I would say don't go with orange just because you want to keep your originality.
