I second TYPO3... the templating system takes a little study but your sites will look less CMSish. Since I'm not allowed to post links yet run a Google search for "Typo3 and Drupal. Developer notes". There's a good article comparing Drupal and TYPO3.
... What do you think are the advantages/disadvatages using DNN? What modules do you recommend and which are the useless ones? I'm using DNN for three sites. building construction manufacturing engineering and (under construction) building projects I find it quite easy to handle, but pages load slower then with html (more quantity?). The skins are aesthetically pleasant and the bugs were within limit.
I completely agree, Drupal is definitely the best especially when it comes to SEO! There are several modules to help with the SEO/SEM of your site, allowing you basically full control of URLs, title tags, keywords and descriptions per page, and much more. I'm building my site on Drupal as a test, to see how the SEO modules work and how the theming systems works. So far I love it, you can check it out at: focalenergy.com -Patrick
i would recommend to go for JOOMLA its the best if you want to start a simple website or in the later stages want to expand your website joomla will help you in every kind of nature you want... so definitely go for joomla
This site looks nice, but could you give examples of sites using this CMS other then their company web site?! What are the core modules?
What content management software would create html type pages and allow for seo-friendly urls i.e.: www.domain.com/keyword1/keyword2/keyword3.html ? I'm still wondering whether it is better to have html-type pages or endings like .php .asp .aspx and the like .
Good thread. We was looking at http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/ for a simple project also. Other decent options with lots of support/users would be Xoops and Joomla.
