What CMS to use for a Classifieds Site

Hi everyone,

Can anyone suggest a good cms that would be good for a classifieds site, i want users to be able to submit their ad with image and description in it.

I would suggest Joomla 1.5 cause with a few extra Modules(free) you can do almost whatever you want.

 

@juka Thanks! I had Joomla in mind for i've been using it for a while. I want to know other opinion and what they can suggest. Another in mind is WordPress and Drupal, but i hadn't use them.

 

There are several Joomla components for classified ads.

For a large site i would recommend Drupal. It is safer and has better performance than Joomla. It has also very good community-features. Wordpress is also fine but is not a real CMS. I use it for blogging or smaller sites.

 

i might just be lazy but for a classifieds site i would use a article database script like ArticleMs. It is very easy to modify the template and you could set it for member groups to have the desired permissions to be used as a classifieds site.
