What CMS should I use?

    I am planing to start build up a software collection for imac, something simmilar to download.com, first I was strongly motivated to use Wordpress, now.. as I am so close in starting thins project I have doubts in using a Wordpress CMS. Is there any other platform you could recommend me for this type of project?
