Im really in a pickle here, I need software that will: -allow businesses with jobs to post job listings for a fee -allow people to look for jobs and submit their resume free -lack of bugs (over $10,000 invested into this) -themeable Any suggestions will be appreciated, this will be a big project. Thanks!
You are asking the wrong questions. It's not what CMS is best - but what software is best - you will find dozens of CMS that will suit the needs to build it but what you really need is software that was made just for this. I don't recommend Joomla - I use to use them for this exact purpose. I recommend investing in custom software or finding existing job board software don't be cheap or it will show. - I can help you PM me and I will talk about options ( I usually charge people for this )
Is there a CMS that you are most comfortable with or have extensive experience with? If so, I would stick to that instead of trying to learn something new. For instance if you are already using Wordpress with other sites, I would use Wordpress for this site. Then just find the theme that suits the Job Board best and go from there. For instance, here is a classifieds theme you could use: http://classifiedstheme.premiumpresslimited.com/
Go for SmartJobBoard. I have used it for one of my client and they were very satisfied. It was much more easier then customizing other job board modules and plugins.
According to me you can use wordpress & joomla they are best cms for free lancer website. "WP-freelancer pro" - wordpress plugin, "JoomBri Freelance" - Joomla Plugin.
All CMS has cool job board themes or plugins. Use the one that you are more familiar with. Personally, I'd go with Drupal.
I know that for business matters Joomla is better but at the same time you need some time to get accustomed with. And sometimes the combination of different extensions may cause some problems. But if you have some experience in programming, you'll definitely succeed!
