I want to make a Blogger copy and give out free blogs on subdomains.

Do you know any software that does just that? Creating a blog for a user in a subdomain, automated?

There are a few programs like that, most cost money... I can't remember their names, but I did see them on www.Hotscripts.com

pLog is working nicely on Tuba Blogs:

    http://www.tubablogs.com

People can register themselves, I've bypassed that temporarily to work out any bugs with my 4 test bloggers, but it does work!

Drupal is very easy to configure for users to sign in and get their own blog. There's also a contributed module that let users choose from installed themes the one they liked more for their own blog.

    Yes, but manually.

I found a better choice than drupal for you "LifeType" http://www.plogworld.net/ is open source and can handle subdomains from a single installation. It's the succesor of plog the one recommended by Roze.
