Didnt the UN decide? and if all is needed to make peace is stop building settlements then why not do it, but also the road map aggreement says militants must stop attacks, but you cant villify a whole nation based on its government. israel should negotiate with understanding that a free and democratic and succesfull palestanian state is the only solution. i do not presume that i know what the end result should be but both side should negotiate as a partner rather than advesary. also pingpong what do you think about the new UN harari funding.

The U.S. would love Egypt to open their border with Gaza. Gaza should be buying their water, fuel, and electricity from Egypt -- not Israel. Gaza should not be relying upon Israel for it's every need -- Gaza should be independent. Are you saying that the Palestinian Muslims might not be good and fair to their Egyptian Muslim brethren? Are you saying the Egyptian Muslims are worried that their Palestinian Muslim brethren are arms-smuggling terrorists? Why is it that it's wrong when Israel protects its citizens from these terrorists -- but it's not wrong when Egypt protects its citizens from these same terrorists?
hamas is related to the muslem brotherhood and they can certainly be a treat to egyptian government. the danger of egypt falling to muslem brotherhood is also for israel.as far as US wanting the border to egypt to be open, is not what was demonstrated when the palestanians broke in.i remember both israel and US promoted its closure fearing the arms smugling. but i think there is an agreement about electricity. i sugest israel make peace with arabs because it is to her benefit not as a favor to palestanians.
