I've had doctors tell me that it's all genetics and chance, but I don't buy that. What do you think?

Several things cancause it but a healthy body is perfectly able to get rid of it without drugs/chemo treatment etc. So yeah, diet (healthy food) is the key to prevention. Fasting (read Dr Jensen's books on fasting) can reverse cancer by re-enabling cells to heal themselves. Long story so read the books. Cancer can be prevented and cured.

Cancer is caused by a cell mutation that make the cells start growing out of control. Now, what causes the initial mutation is a multitude of things. There are whole medical libraries devoted to answering your question.

Constipation is the root cause of all diseases. Cancer is no exception. A good diet, good metabolism and a healthy mind will keep all diseases at bay.

That's one I haven't heard before. Would you care to expand on how constipation is the root cause of all diseases?

Very true. The incidence of topical skin cancers in white mice has risen significantly since research in this field was initiated.

A lot of cancer is caused by doctors. A relative was advised by a doctor to do a biopsy. She went to another doctor for a second opinion and was told that she doesn't need a biopsy, that biopsy increases chances of cancer, and that the first doctor probably just wanted to make a bit of $$$ on her, since the insurance company would be paying him thousands for the biopsy.
Genetics - I don't buy into this theory either. That doesn't explain why cancer is so much more common now. It's things like ecology, junk food, and exposure to radiation.

I have the same mistrust of doctors and I would advise anyone to get a second or third opinion. Also, seek information for yourself about paths you can take if indeed you are diagnosed with cancer. There are all kinds of alternatives to chemo and drugs now.

Cancer is only due to mutation in a cell due which the dividing ability increases to max. and the cell goes on Dividing and this leads to tumuor and its extreme conditions are called Cancers.
This is said due to my med. experience :)

It's been proven recently that heavy metals get easily attached onto the DNA which causes cancer. The only way to prevent it is to leave our technology behind and go back to nature. However, as others have mentioned there are alternative ways to treat cancer and even eliminate it these days. I'm not sure if it really works but there is a cure in nature called vitamin B17 present in apricot seeds. If I was touched by cancer I would try it first because it's natural.
