Yeah well your sexually repressed and pussywhipped. I pay my own way, I just know how to manifest things.
Honda S2000 - and I've just passed the 100,000 mile mark on the odometer and the car still revs strongly to 9,000 RPM! Long Island's Montauk Lighthouse in the background... Two agile and maneuverable machines (off Route 25 on Long Island)... I wonder how the body rigidity is on that thing hehe. Hey, nice AP1! Monte Carlo Blue Pearl? Nice Laguna Blue, Tara! The USDM AP2 S2000 with the F22C engine redlines at 8,000 RPM. The AP1s maxed out at 9,000. So now we have at least three on this forum with S2ks. I was given a brand new 2005 Skoda Octavia as a rental car when I landed at the Praha-Ruzyne airport during one of my visits to the Czech Republic. I drove it cross-country to Brno and it's a pretty good highway cruiser. But the darn thing threw up a low oil pressure light 2 miles away from the rental place when I went to return the car a week later in Prague.
Yep I agree about the go-kart handling dynamics. That's what makes the S2000 very fun to drive, it's a proper sports car. You sit in the car like you would put on tight-fitting jeans. All of the controls are driver-focused. The shifter is the slickest in the world (all mags agree). The turn-in when cornering is among the best. It is definitely raw and not for everyone. People who buy thinking it's a nice cruiser end up disappointed big time since it is stiff, harsh, and noisy. The only other open-top I can think of that's more hardcore is the Lotus Elise. I agree about the low-end torque and the low torque figures - at the crank. But if you don't mind revving the engine, the gear multiplication of the torque at the rear wheels (where it actually matters) due to the 9,000 RPM compensates nicely. The lower than average weight helps as well. But of course, you have to enjoy revving. And to whoever consolidated my responses - thanks for making it cleaner. I'm not sure how I combine quotes from other people's posts, unless I manually cut/paste the codes. Is there a simple way to combine multiple quote responses? Also, I did them separately since I did not know how the email notifications work (e.g. I thought only the quoted person gets the notification, hence I did it individually to let them know my reply was to their posts). I did not do this to bump the thread as all of them were around the same time.
My buddy has an S2K....definitely a fun car. My head sits above the top of the windshield though. BTW- use for multi-quoting.
I'm taking lessons soon, I still don't know what car I want I don't even know what someone my age could get insured on?
Thanks for the multi-quote tip. Do you watch Top Gear in the UK? The S2000 was ranked #1 for multiple years. If you're into spirited driving, you gotta drive this hehe.
I have a mitsubishi colt...lol It gets me from A to B fine so i'm not bothered. Although it's my brothers also, and he buggers it up a lot.
Sweet ride!!! Got some specs on it? Nevermind, I found a page w/ information on your car: http://jalopnik.com/cars/viper-is-a...srt10-is-a-steal-starting-at-83145-286002.php
