Thank you for the story of David but David repented from his sins and even so, still his first born died as punishment. My question is what happens to homosexuals who do not repent and continue in sin, should they be punished? How do homosexuals repent from sin, doesn't this mean they have to become heterosexuals or have no sex life at all?
I think you will have to take that up with God. (But again I feel the bible is very clear on that subject and the subject of repentance.)
You mean if somebody commits a sin we should not take any action and leave it to God? Is there a list of sins and crimes that we should leave to God and another list on what we should act on? If someone decides to break the God's rules on earth, how should we deal with them? Don't you think it is a little bit impractical to leave everything to God? Isn't there anything in Bible that regulates how we should deal with the sins and punishment on earth?
I think you know the biblical answers to most of these questions. The old testament had the consequences of sins laid out and seem so extreme. God will be the ultimate judge in all that we do. Our current governments and cultures have their own rules by which we must follow as long as we (or I) personally do not go against God. If my government made it against the law to worship God, then I would end up worshiping God still, but maybe in prison. I like what Jesus did. He personally went to the sinner and would accept them with love, but he did say "go and sin no more" I also believe he knew that we would stumble, but just like a parent was wanting the best from us. Look at when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. What did he say to Peter? pretty awesome testimony of Christ's love.
Is gworld still attacking Christians and Jews and hiding the truth about his religion (islam)? I thought so gworld, more bad news, I'm afraid. Looks like your buds in Australia are getting the boot: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20050824/wl_asia_afp/australiaislamattacks
Unfortunately I can not help you there since my view of the world is very different from a Christian. As an Atheist, I have no problem with people sexual orientation. People can be Heterosexual, Homosexuals (Gay or Lesbian) or Bisexuals, for me all is the same. I don't think what ever sexual orientation people have can be a sin since the concept of God does not exist for me. It is therefore that a Christian view point on how to react toward this group is interesting for me. Isn't a law that makes homosexuality legal a law agaisnt God's law? How can you accept a man's law that is a sin according to God's word?
Arnie Do you agree with mia that bible should not be taken literally and it is open to interpretation, I am confused since according to your last posting you don't but mia thinks you do? It seem mia also thinks that man can change the God's word and laws and decide by himself that homosexuality is not a sin and it is OK to be homosexual Christian, while as much as I understand from your posting, you think the Bible is the truth and homosexuality is defined as a sin? It seems I and mia have totally different opinions on what you are thinking, can you please clarify? He also thinks that Catholic are true Christians while in your opinion they are at least partly responsible for bringing about the Anti-Christ in from of UN and with help of Jesuits, can you explain little bit more the difference between Catholic and protestant and what you define as idol worshiper and Maria worshipers?
Secretly invite aliens from outter space to "take out" terrorists in exchange for pornos. rofl That word "take out" has been used quite often this week, LMFAO. I think its up for retirement, I'll have to create a new phrase, uhhh, lets see, hmmm. New way to say it,"jettison". Anyone see the Psychological Thriller: The Forgotten - see it, and then you'll know what I mean by "jettison" heheheh
First of all I wasn't asking for your help. Second, I am not under that law now am I. (being that I am not involved in any homosexual activity.) So the law in that area does not affect me directly.
Mia isn't wrong. Interpretations in accordance with the Bilbe and which do not contradict its divine truth are fine, and they must be in context. Unfortunately many are twisting it, but I think its not him or one who really believes. I personally believe that everyone should not put to much of a value to interpretations, it is each and everyones own responsibility. People are on different levels of understanding. Man made interpretations are sometimes of good help, but can never be a substitude to the Bible. As I mentioned before, its only the holy Ghost that can be your real teacher, he's the real helper and knows us from inside out and vice versa, so that we can digest the scriptures according to our abilities and understanding. The scripture says also "Who are you that you judge?". Knowing that homosexuality is a sin we are not supposed to judge or codemn them but to help. I personally have homosexual friends without being one myself. One of these friends is working as a personal relationship manager in a City Hall in Holland and he told me that while on duty one muslim asylum seeker slapped him, because he couldn't get what he wanted. With another one I went on holidays many years ago. You will unlikely have problems with homosexual men, they respect you as you are and don't try to lure you with tricks to their side, though its sin to be homosexual. Many catholics are true christians too. I myself was raised as a catholic in a catholic country and I was even working for a Vatican owned company, but I was never happy with the spiritual quality there. Catholics are focosing on quantity rather then quality of teaching, a kind of they've lost their way. The difference of catholics with protestants you can find out when you read more about reformers and church history (Wycliff, Huss, Luther, the falling apart from the biblical truth and so on)
Stories of the suffering of young Muslim women forced into marriage are best sellers in Germany. But are these books about rape, violence and abuse socially beneficial or simply a cynical and salacious way of making money? Full article
Arnie I am confused now. a couple of posting before you posted that Bible is word of God and always be true and it should be taken literally (both New testament and old testament) and now you are talking about Interpretations and how it is OK with homosexuals and we should not judge them. Doesn't the bible says: "If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB) So what is it, is the Bible the truth for all time or can we change it as we like? How do you understand and explain from the above quote that "Who are you that you judge?", while bible not only judge them but also wants to punish them?
Here are some other BS bible quotes here is another on that says its ok to beat your slave girls as long as they get back up in a day or two
Why are you taking this from the old testament? I'm sure you understand what I mean, but the only thing is that you can't stop your provocative behaviour. By the way, I even dare to say that there would be no islam today if the roman catholics wouldn't have ravaged the world with their crusades. Everyone with a little common sense that time must have known that this can't be of God or God's will. It just took an epilectic mohammad to use the scriptures and twist if even more than the catholics ever did. Both show the same pattern and roots of distorting the truth!
Why simply we don't hear what the f**** these terrorists are asking for? The worst thing someone cna do to you is not pay attention when you need it. And they would make anything to attire attention on themselves. That's easy like 1-2-3
Why am I taking this from old testament? Are you saying now that word of God in old testament is provocative and non-sense? You were mentioning that Catholic are changing the word of God and bringing about the Anti-Christ, aren't you doing the same thing?
dude, we already did that, ever hear of something called news? We had that nut from some news station go meet with bin laden and ask him questions, they only allowed certain questions to be asked pre-requested, then he responded to those "pre-requested-pre-approved by the terrorists questions". Old Binny then said all his america is satan crap and whatever else he had to say, along with warnings that we'd be attacked soon. That was around the time of 1998-2000 some time around then. If you search around the net, you might find the video. Seriously dude, you gotta watch the news more. secondly, they may never allow us to ask the questions we want to know, they only will let us ask the ones they want us to know. Thats how the terrorist work, so they can hide their true reasons for what they do, and why.
