Laughable at best. What a joke. I feel so sorry for this women. She is being used by Mike Moore and the Pink crowd. Her entire family came out the other day and said what a nut case she is and how she has been brainwashed by the leftest terrorists in Pink land. No one asked her son to serve. No one! He volunteered. We all honor and respect that. Why she cannot? Her grief which has been misguided by the likes of Mike Moore has done nothing but dishonor her sons memory and continues to make a fool out of her. Her entire family honors and supports their son. Only she and the leftest thugs who are taking advantage of her think this way. Sick..
What happens when Iran doesn't give up on their plans? Long lasting sanction to punish the population rather then the islamists? This time the pressure must be increased so that is clear that this issue needs to be solved speedily. - Not like in Iraq, negotiations, negotiations and negotiations which always ended fruitless. I'm against war and see it as a last options, but we shouldn't forget that the islamists always try to buy time with their cat and mouse games and they need to get the message that any appropiate actions against their policies must and will be carried out fast, only this way we can avoid to victimize the wrong people in that area.
Your right those people who lost kids in the war deserve it, they signed up for it Gtech when you sign you son up for iraq you should see if you get bushs daughters to sign up with him. I think they are about the right age ...
I think you missed the point. No one signed their kids up for military service. In order to join the military you need to be an adult. You make the decision yourself. I made the decision at 23 and after several weeks working with the recruiter my dad (a Marine) suggested that I stay in college. No one deserves to die, and I did not say that. But when you decide of your own accord to serve your country you better believe that you are going to have to serve your country. I am quite thankful that there are actually brave men and women willing to do this. Those that dishonor them and their service are just as bad as the terrorists if not worse. They deserve our respect and support. I'm a little sick of hearing about why doesn't Bush sign his daughters up, why doesn't this Republican sign his son up, etc., etc... No one signs their kids up. Their kids take it upon themselves to enlist in the military. They do so for serveral reasons. However they should all remember that when they do enlist they may actually have to serve. That's part of the deal. The US Military is not here for the purpose of giving people an education or income, it is here to protect the United States. Bush's daughters made a decision not to join, as many do. There is no draft. No one is forced to join. That said this point is never going to be valid until such time as there is a draft. In other countries you have to serve in the military. It is a requirement. Israel is one of those countries that requires military service by everyone. The US does not require or force anyone to serve. But if you did enlist, you better believe you may be called to fight. That's part of the deal. Now can we stop dishonoring these brave men and women for once and both appreciate and respect their willingness to serve of their own accord for the sake of our freedom? Instead of bitching about death and carnage, why not send a care package to a vet that is serving right now. If you see someone in the military at the store, on the street, church wherever, thank them. Show a little respect for those that give you the right to disrespect them.
I think we all know who wants the terrorists in iraq to win and who doesn't. Right? I would never pimp my son's memory the way sheehan has. She met with the president, her comments from that are on record. Either she was lying then, or she is lying now. Either way, she is lying. I think *most* people know what she's doing, including her family (who has denounced her actions) and her husband, who has filed for divorce over this. My son has already expressed interest in serving his country. He's a senior this year. He will choose to serve his country on his own free will as have many in our family since my great[6] grandfather arrived here in 1737 from Germany, including myself. I look forward to the day this war is over. But not in the same light as defeatist pacificsts and those who hope the terrorists in Iraq will win. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. John Stuart Mill
it is weird though, why arn't more republicans signing up seems like more people would excited to go liberate iraq
Most serving ARE republicans. Which is why Bush has overwhelming support from the military. You won't find many liberals in the military. Military and aromatherapy don't mix well.
what exactly is she getting by pimping? If I lost a son in the war, and some pro war retard got in my face, then I would mostlly go to jail for assault. I am often amazed at the self control people have to peacfully protest stuff like that. My brother was supposed to a dead or legless one.
The adulation of mainstream media who hate Bush. Anti-semite endorsements from the likes of David Duke. Labels such as "nut job" from anyone who actually has a clue. Liar from those who saw her original comments after her meeting with Bush, compared to those she's making today. She's getting no respect from her family who has made public statements denouncing her actions. She's getting a divorce from her husband of 28 years who does not believe in what she is doing. Seems to me like she is getting a lot Some choose to serve, others choose to sit on the sidelines and root for the enemy. Some people feel this way. No one wants to loose a loved one in war. That doesn't mean we cannot support those that have made the ultimate sacrifice to serve their country. Regardless of where they are serving or what they are doing, they are serving us...even those that hope the terrorists in Iraq will win, sad as that may be. How does one "duck out" of military service that is voluntary?
I don't think she is getting anything, I don't think that is the point. She has been coerced and brain washed by Mikey Moore and the Pink crowd to further their sick agenda. I really feel sorry for that poor women... That's a real hard question to answer as I have a son. If it was his choice to serve, I would respect that. If he died fighting I would honor that and I would expect other people would too. There is no such things as "Pro War". Who is "pro war?" No one I know. I support our troops, and my country as well as our president. I support the war on terror. There is a difference between being supportive of a good cause and being "pro war". I, as well as most I know, would hope we would not have to resort to war to defend freedom. However, I am not naive enough to believe that. There will always be sacrifice and death in the defense of peace so long as evil continues to walk the earth. People protesting the war IMHO, are traitors. I respect their right to protest, believe me, but too me, they are traitors. It both sickens and saddens me that so many people could let a few nut jobs convince them that freedom is a bad thing. Where were the protesters when Clinton ventured into Somalia? Mogadishu? Haiti? Where were they when our soldiers were being told not to defend themselves? Where were they when American Soldiers (YES SOMEONE'S SONs) were being dragged through streets? I'll tell ya where. They were driving their SUV's, flying in their private jets, bashing the Reagan years, polluting the environment and making movies about why all the stuff they do is so bad, all the while trying to convince people that its someone else's fault. What exactly does that mean?
